- Be open to provide information regarding your employment status and/or other sources of income.
How to Apply
You can apply online for the AgFed Credit Union Classic Visa Credit Card by following these steps:
Step 1: Visit the card’s webpage and click on the ‘Apply for a Loan’ button.
Step 2: Select the type of the application (individual or joint). Continue by introducing in the provided boxes the Borrowers Social Security Number and the Borrower Member Number and click ‘Next’.
Step 3: Fill in the loan information spaces dedicated to: the loan type (here select Credit Card Classic), purpose of loan, payment method, payment frequency, promotion code (optional), loan amount/line of credit and your email address. Click ‘Next’ to continue on the next page.
Step 4: Provide the borrower information including: first and last name (middle initial and suffix are optional), date of birth, address (street/building number, street name, select the street type and unit type or number, city, state, ZipCode), move in date, housing status, home phone number and mobile phone number (optional). Press the ‘Next’ button.
Step 5: Complete the Borrower Employment Information section by selecting ‘yes’ or ‘no’ under the current employment question. If ‘yes’ enter the information including: Current Employer, Position, Work Phone, Gross Annual Salary, Hire Date, Street Address, City, State, ZipCode. Provide also the information relative to the Borrower Additional Income such as: Source of Other Income, Gross Annual Other Income. (Alimony, Child support, or separate maintenance income need not be revealed if you do not wish to have it considered as a basis for repaying this obligation). Click on the ‘Next’ button to proceed.
Step 6: Wait until your request is processed (30 seconds). You should receive a confirmation regarding your application similar to the following picture.

Q: My son is 16. Can he be a joint account user?
To be the primary account user, you need to be at least 18 years of age at the time of account opening, but there is a possibility to be younger in case you open a joint account with your parent or guardian. So, there is a chance for your son to be the joint account user.
Q: Do I need to mention that I pay alimony while fulfilling the account application?
No. There is an option of avoiding answering this question. Alimony, child support, or separate maintenance income may not be revealed if you do not wish to.
Q: Who has eligibility to become a member of the Credit Union?
In order to join AgFed you need to fulfill further conditions: to live, work or go to school within the city of Washington, DC or have a family member who does; to be the employee, employee family member, or a person retired as pensioner of our Select Employee Groups (SEGs) companies and organizations, as well as the worker at Select Employee Groups (SEGs) companies and their family members. Family members are your spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren and stepsiblings. Household members are eligible to join and are defined as persons living in the same residence.
