Q: What are In-Flight Savings and how can I take advantage of them?

Each Delta Skymiles Credit Card owner receives a 20% savings in the form of a statement credit which can be used for in-flight purchases of food, alcoholic beverages and audio headsets, on Delta-operated flights. However, they are not applicable to other in-flight purchases, such as in-flight wireless Internet access, and associated services, and charitable contributions. In order to receive the savings, you must use their Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express to complete the in-flight purchase and the savings will appear as a statement credit 6-8 weeks after the transaction is posted.

Q: Is it possible to get a credit for the flights previous to the enrollment in the SkyMiles program?

Yes. The new members are given the chance to take advantage of credit for the flights that occurred up to 30 days before they enrolled in the SkyMiles program.

Q: How does the mile transfer function?

In order to transfer your SkyMiles to somebody else, you will need to complete the Transfer Miles Recipient Information to begin a transaction.
