In order to be eligible to apply for this card, you should make sure you meet the following requirements:

Be at least 18 years old
Have a valid social security number, postal and email address and phone number
Be enrolled in a college or university
Be willing to provide data regarding your housing expenses (e.g. monthly rent) and employment status/annual earnings

If you decide to apply for a Discover It Student Credit Card, here is the procedure to fill in and submit an online application:

Step 3: In the next page, provide the following information: your permanent home address (street, number), optionally your apartment/suite/floor, your Zip Code, city and state, your email address, your primary phone, your date of birth, your social security number, as well as some financial information including your total annual gross income, your monthly housing/rent payment and your total available assets.
