Innovis: The Fourth Credit Bureau

Innovis: The Fourth Credit Bureau

Innovis Data Solutions is a new credit bureau that moves around quietly collecting information on consumers and selling this information to companies for mailing lists used for things like credit card offers. Many lenders are now beginning to utilize Innovis as a credit reference for loans as well as credit cards.

A negative report from Innovis will prevent you from getting decent credit offers and the information that this company has in their database isn’t always correct and needs to be checked and monitored along with the other three credit reporting agencies Equifax, Experian and Trans Union.

You can visit the Innovis website at innovis.com. There is not much information on their site but you can find instructions there for obtaining a copy of the report that they have on you. They ask that you make all requests in writing via the mail.

Here is a list of the information that they ask for and their mailing address:

  • Full Name
  • Current Address (along with a copy of your driver’s license or utility bill showing your current address)
  • Previous addresses for the past 2 years
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Current Employer
  • Phone Number
  • Signature

Their rates are as follows:

  • California $8.00
  • Minnesota $3.00
  • Montana $8.50
  • All other States $9.00
  • Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Vermont: First report free.

  1. Innovis says:

Innovis is not a credit reporting agency it is a way to sell you to other companies its all about money. The federal government needs to take more than a second look at innovice but they need to shut it down for providing false information along with many other reasons if they intend to exist then they need to make sure they’re accurate because its messing with peoples life’s and well being or they need to cease to exist! !!!!!!!!!

SERIOUSLY!!! How many credit bureaus do we need? How many will be enough? 10? 20? 30? Three is more than enough, imo, with the three that have long existed already! I see this as a way to waste more of our time, which we could be devoting to other things. It’s completely unnecessary and deceitful to have a fourth credit bureau, which doesn’t make it a priority to have factual information on the individual before including them on their site. The other three credit bureaus should make this a priority as well. In the least, Innovis shouldn’t be allowed to be used as a credit bureau for the purpose of checking people’s credit. WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER CREDIT BUREAU!!!
