If you are a hardworking Union member, apply now to the Union Plus credit card Rate Advantage. Enjoy all the benefits that come with the card which includes hardship grants.

In order to apply for a Union Plus Credit Card Rate Advantage credit card, you will need to meet the following eligibility requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a valid government-issued photo ID
Have a U.S. Social Security Number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
Be a U.S. resident residing in the United States
Be a current member of a participating union, a retired union member or a family member of an existing
You must have an excellent credit rating. This means that you’ve never declared bankruptcy or failed to pay back a loan. You have also never been more than 60 days late for any credit card payment or medical bill. In addition, you should have had a credit card loan, and your current credit limit is above $5000

Step 1: To start the application process to the Access the Union Plus Credit Card Rate Advantage website by clicking on this link.

Once you are on the home screen, you will see three types of Union Plus cards.

You want to click on the Apply Now icon on the Rate Advantage Card section.

Step 2: Before continuing on the application, click on the link on the left side of the page that reads view the list of unions to view the list that is NOT eligible for the Union Plus credit cards to double check that the union you belong to is not on the list.

If you are satisfied with what you see, you can proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Fill out the information needed such as your email address, name, city etc.

The bits that have a red asterisk on top means that it’s a required field.

This means that you have to fill it in otherwise, the computer will not process the application.

Step 4: Continue to fill out the form until you reach the very end.

Remember, that the information with a red asterisk means that it’s a required field, and you can’t skip it.

When you’re done, click on the Continue Application button located at the bottom of the screen.

Q: What is necessary to be able to apply for the Disability Grant?

The Disability Grant provides from $1,600 to $2,700 payment to Union Plus Credit Cardholder who has been unemployed for at least 90 days within the past 12 months and lost 25% or more of their monthly income, due to an illness or disability. The requirements are that you must be a Union Plus or Teamster Privilege Credit Cardholder in good standing for at least three months, you must complete the application below and provide documentation that you have been unemployed for at least 90 consecutive days within the 12-month period and that the illness or disability caused the unemployment. The proof of the date of illness or disability, and proof of income before and after the date of illness or disability is also obligatory.

Q: Can I carry out one-time online payment?

Yes, you can, but you will need to log into your account via online banking system by entering your credentials. Once that is finished, you need to find the field about the payment method, select the payment amount, date and payment source. One-time payment means that you pay that amount to that merchant only once, and if you want another payment, you will need to do the same procedure again. Nevertheless, for the frequent and regular payments that happen every month, it is easier to set automatic payment method.
