Q: What is valid ITIN?
The acronym ITIN stands for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number which is a tax processing number that the Internal Revenue Service issues. It consists of nine digits and always begins with the number 9. ITINs are given to individuals who are obligatory to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who cannot get a Social Security Number from the Social Security Administration. These numbers are issued regardless of immigration status.
