Hello, I’m currently considering to change my credit card. I did some research online and also asked some people around, and at the moment I’m trying to decide between a Wells Fargo and a Capital One card. I’m interested to build my credit, so I’d like to ask you which of these banks offer better possibilities for credit building?
Hey Adam, I think it's not so easy to decide between these two banks since both of them offers many credit cards, so you should try to look a bit into all of them and see which one would fit your needs best. I can give you a list of some cards they offer (keep in mind that there are even more cards than the ones I list here), if you just google their names you can find many sites with detailed information about what they offer as well as plenty reviews of people who have them.
So, here it goes:
Wells Fargo: Propel American Express Card, Cash Back College Visa Card, Visa Signature Card, Propel 365 American Express Card, Cash Wise Visa Card, Rewards Visa Card, Platinum Visa Card, Home Rebate Visa (and Visa Signature) Card, Secured Visa Credit Card
Capital one: Venture Rewards, VentureOne Rewards, Quicksilver Rewards, QuicksilverOne Rewards, Platinum, Journey Student Rewards, Spark Cash for Business, Spark Miles for Business
Oh my God, so many options...can you recommend any of these credit cards? Do you have a Wells Fargo or Capital One card? And if so, are you satisfied with it? Please let me know, I started reading a bit about various of these cards, but I sort of got lost...Or if other members of this community have such cards, I'd really appreciate some advice. Thanks!
Hey there, Adam, I’ve got a Wells Fargo Rewards Visa and I’m totally satisfied with it!
Amazing options especially in the first few months after you open your account, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Well, in my opinion Capitol One is the best bank ever! I had like 3 or 4 cards from them during the years and have nothing at all to complain about – they've got great rewards, bonuses etc.
Plus decent interest rates and so on.
I would say that the best card ever for building your credit is Capitol One Secured Mastercard. With this card you have low fees, it entitles you to a credit limit greater than the initial deposit and with further deposits this credit limit increases. It’s an awesome card, you should definitely try it!
Wells Fargo Secured Visa is not bad either, it gives you a high credit limit and the interest rates are not very high, but still I’d say it’s far from being so good as the Capitol One.
