Q: Why is it necessary to enter total annual income when applying for a American Express Blue credit card?
Total annual income is the amount of money that you earn in a year without the taxes. Every credit card application demands the entering of your total annual income, because that way the issuer determines whether to issue a card to you or not. It depends on the issuer whether he/she will verify your income sources, but it is advisable to enter the correct amount. A stable income which will be sufficient to meet your expenses is necessary.
Q: Can I be denied when applying for the American Express Blue Card and why can that happen?
Yes, your application is in the hands of the algorithm that is created in such a way to determine whether a person meets the entire requirement or not, and thus decide to allow the issuing of a credit card. The reason for this may be the large amount of credit cards in your possession, and the American Express is one of the most limiting issuers, when the number of cards is in question. Another reason for the rejection can be late payments that have destroyed your credit score. However, if you are denied once, you should try applying again and refer to the reconsideration line for help, where you can explain your case to a representative and convince him/her that you are a responsible person who deserves the card.
